"The Passing of My Life"

"Ravens demark the passing of my life
And into the darkness of my eyes passes
The shadow of myself
While I cling to the passing 
Of a day 
Of a year, of a night
I live in silence
Out of hope
Hope –out of spite
The unkindness flies and
I am hindered here by my shadow
How it clings to the light and 
By my definition I should be dead
But my spirit clings to life 
Where the ravens and the shadows 
The silent echoes fly. "
